Because of the positive reception of last years Annual Report design 2017, where the majority of the content was displayed in an infographic style it was decided by the client, for the sake of continuity, to maintain the style those in the local authority and the general public were familiar with.
This years theme would be based on the maxim ‘One City, One County, One Waterford’. The declaration that all citizens wherever they resided in Waterford are being served by their local authority daily, even in areas they may not be aware of.
Content to be included this year would have more high quality imagery from festivals, tourism & cultural initiatives, community events, storm events and much more. As we learned in our previous projects when working with a lot of content, the use of the infographic style to display data accessible by all age groups was a great help and lent it self to supporting a fresh modern palette of colours and icons throughout.
We pride ourselves when it come s to graphic design and so created a graphic form for the covers that encapsulates the image of Waterford City and County Council at the center of citizens lives be it through economic development, social services, tourism initiatives and much more, which we are glad to say has been adopted as a stand alone identity for use on collateral materials within the authority.
Feedback on the Annual Report we have been told has been very positive which is always satisfying to hear.
